When we last left Assane, he had finally exposed Hubert Pellegrini (Hérve Pierre) for his crimes, but that meant that Assane now had to go on the run. The last we saw of Assane was him spiriting away down the Seine on a stolen speedboat after saying goodbye to his estranged wife Claire (Ludivine Sagnier) and their son Raoul (Etan Simon).
