Unfortunately, there’s no preseason football on tonight (August 11), but there are a slew of new NFL documentaries about to premiere as we prepare for the start of the regular season.
How ’bout them Cowboys?! If you’re a fan of the Troy Aikman/Emmitt Smith/Michael Irvin Cowboys teams of the ’90s, you’ll love Netflix’s upcoming docuseries America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys. Premiering Tuesday, August 19, the eight-episode series tells the story of Cowboys iconoclastic owner Jerry Jones and his indelible mark on NFL history. Featuring interviews with Jones, Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Deion Sanders, Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, and more, you’ll want to carve out some time for this one.
Perhaps you’re more of an AFC fan? If so, the first two episodes of the new Kansas City Chiefs documentary, The Kingdom, debut Thursday, August 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET, with all six episodes available to stream on Disney+ and ESPN+ on the same day.
Last but never least, a new season of Hard Knocks focusing on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills premiered last week on HBO. When exactly will Episode 2 debut on HBO and HBO Max? Here’s everything you need to know.
