The five-part series tackles five notorious murder cases in New York, including the Carnegie Deli massacre and the Midtown Slasher, and features interviews with the detectives and prosecutors who investigated the case, as well as survivors and families of the victims.
The series will be followed by Homicide: Los Angeles, set to premiere later this year.
Wolf executive produces alongside Tom Thayer, Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Nan Strait, and Adam Kassen.
Teasing the show, Tudum writes, “The series has all the twists, turns, and harrowing details one might expect from Wolf’s widely-known Law & Order franchise, except on Homicide: New York, every part of the story is real.”
In addition to Law & Order, Wolf is also the creator and producer of the Chicago and FBI franchises. Other work includes creating the investigative shows Cold Justice and Nightwatch.
