The hotly anticipated Devil May Cry animated series is finally coming to Netflix!
Based on the hit video game franchise, the new adaptation of the popular Capcom game centers on an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire — Dante, voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch — and will be led by Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir.
The official synopsis states that “sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms,” with Dante “unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”
So… umm… no pressure, Dante!
“Rest assured, we are working very hard because we love the franchise and because we want to deliver something great,” Shankar told Tadum. “Our goal wasn’t just to pump out another animated show. My goal is to make one of the best shows on the Netflix platform — period.”
Hell. Yes. When exactly does Devil May Cry drop on Netflix? Here’s everything you need to know.
Johnny Yong Bosch will voice Dante, with Scout Taylor-Compton (Lady), Hoon Lee (the White Rabbit), Chris Coppola (Enzo), Kevin Conroy (VP Baines), and Robbie Daymond (Vergil) rounding out the cast.
The eight-episode season debuts Thursday, April 3 at 3:00 a.m. ET on Netflix.
We hope you like Limp Bizkit because Netflix released the Devil May Cry opening credits in January 2025. The show’s official trailer, embedded below, dropped earlier this month.
You can purchase Netflix for as little as $7.99/month. Ad-free monthly options are also available for $17.99 (the Standard plan) or $24.99 (the Premium option).
