Prime Video is expanding its “based-on-a-book” universe with the premiere of the newest Amazon original series, “Cross.”

Detective Alex Cross investigates homicides alongside his partner Detective John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa), but his personal struggles threaten to derail his career and life.

“Cross” is about to be your new obsession; here’s how to tune in.

“Cross” comes out on Prime Video tomorrow, November 14. All eight episodes of Season 1 will drop at 3:00 a.m. ET.

Once signed up, you can watch “Cross” with the Prime Video app on any supported device, ranging from smart TVs to streaming devices like Fire TV sticks and Fire tablets.

If you aren’t a Prime Video subscriber already, you can get started with a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial, including Prime perks like free two-day shipping, exclusive deals (including in-game offers), and more. After the free trial, Amazon Prime costs $14.99/month or $139/year.

All 18-24-year-olds, regardless of student status, are eligible for a discounted Prime for Young Adults membership as well with age verification. After a six-month free trial, you’ll pay 50% off the standard Prime monthly price of $14.99/month — just $7.49/month — for up to six years and get all the perks.

Aldis Hodge is the third actor to take on the role of Alex Cross; previously, the detective was played by Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry in films.

There are eight episodes in the first season of “Cross” and all of them are available to stream now.

Yes! Ahead of the Season 1 release, Amazon renewed “Cross” for Season 2.

While “Cross” is based on the Alex Cross series by James Patterson, but Hodge confirmed to TV Insider that the series is not based explicitly on one of the novels.

“It is based on the foundation of Alex Cross, but [showrunner] Ben [Watkins] takes the bone structure of that world and fills it up with a beautiful story,” he said.
