NextImg:When Does ‘1923’ Return With New Episodes? The Latest On The ‘1923’ Season 2 Premiere Date

We’re slowly inching towards the return of a few Taylor Sheridan favorites.

Yellowstone has finally resumed production on the second half of its fifth and final season, with the series currently filming in Montana as it eyes a November 2024 return to Paramount Network. But what about Yellowstone’s incredibly popular prequel series 1923?

The Helen Mirren/Harrison Ford- led Western drama was renewed for a second season in February 2023. However, like many shows, production was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and writers’ strikes.

Where exactly do we stand regarding Season 2? We’ll get to that in a moment, but just a reminder that you can stream the first eight episodes of 1923 on Paramount+. If you’re in the mood for a quick Season 1 summary, you can also watch this 23-minute recap video on YouTube.

Here’s everything we know about the return of 1923.

Yes! Way back in February 2023, Paramount+ renewed the series for a second season.

No official release date has been announced, but we finally, finally, have an update on the upcoming season. Season 2 of 1923 is moving from Montana to Austin, Texas, with production expected to begin in July 2024 (h/t Screen Rant).

Shooting is expected to run through September, so it’s safe to say 1923 won’t return with new episodes until 2025. Based on the aforementioned info, our best guess for a return date would be mid-2025.

The first season of 1923 is streaming on Paramount+, which offers two options. Paramount+ Essential is available for $5.99/month, while Paramount+ with Showtime is currently $11.99/month and includes ad-free content and a CBS live stream. The service offers a one-week free trial for new subscribers.

Paramount+ is available on Apple TV, iOS, desktop, Roku, Chromecast, Android apps, and more.
