Here we go! Two teams remain after months of NBA action as the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers collide in the NBA Finals!
Let’s hear it for small-market basketball! The Thunder were a popular pick to reach the finals… and they did it! Led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC finished the regular season with 68 wins as they attempt to win their first title since the Thunder were established in 2008 (the Seattle SuperSonics won it all in 1979).
The Pacers are also looking for their inaugural championship. The beloved franchise won three ABA titles (1970, 1972, 1973), but this is Indiana’s first trip to the finals since the Reggie Miller-led 2000 squad. Tyrese Haliburton and company finished the regular season at 50-32, before defeating the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks to win the Eastern Conference.
The Thunder are the heavy favorites — currently -700 on DraftKings — but you can never count out this feisty Pacers team. When do the NBA Finals start? How can you watch online? Here’s everything you need to know.
