If last week’s season premiere of Yellowjackets told us anything, it’s that the survival drama is finally headed toward the thing they’ve only teased so far: cannibalism.
It’s winter in the crash timeline, and the girls, cold and hungry, are getting desperate, and the last episode ended with teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) eating Jackie’s ear, which had frozen and fallen off of her corpse as the winter chill set in.
Last week’s episode also introduced us to adult Lottie (Simone Kessell), who runs a cult-like collective somewhere in the woods, and her acolytes.
That brings us to episode two. Titled “Edible Complex,” it will see the girls’ hunger and desperation turn into full on psychosis. In the adult timeline, “the survivors ask whether the darkness comes for them or if it comes from them.”
