The NFL season is here, and no team faces bigger expectations or scrutiny than the franchise that hasn’t been in a Super Bowl since 1969.
But with a new quarterback making a detour on his way to the Hall of Fame in town, young star talent on both sides of the ball and an AFC East no longer dominated by Bill Belichick and Co., there appears to be a path for the Jets back to the postseason, and maybe more.
Still, it is only Year 1 with Aaron Rodgers. The offensive line has the makings of a unit that won’t let any fan rest easy. And the AFC is filled with quality teams, from the Chiefs to the Bills to the Bengals to … you get the picture.
So, Jets fans, what exactly would put a smile on your face by the end of the season — aside from a Super Bowl win, of course? A playoff appearance? AFC title game or bust? A February trip to Las Vegas no matter the outcome?
