Usually, WWE’s first night with a new broadcast partner is a news-making event that reverberates across social media and internet sites.  

Strangely, Wrestlepalooza accomplished none of that in WWE’s first premium live event on ESPN and left the company open to the unintended consequences of counterprogramming AEW.

Both WWE’s debut on Fox in 2019 and Netflix earlier this year featured The Rock. During the Fox debut, we saw Brock Lesnar’s stunning win over Kofi Kingston for the WWE championship. The Netflix debut saw Cena declare for the Royal Rumble, Liv Morgan beat Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World championship and a match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins in a red-hot rivalry.
