Merry Christmas to the Zack Snyder fanboys, because the the first part of Snyder’s new space fantasy franchise, Rebel Moon, is coming to Netflix this weekend.
Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire is like Star Wars on steroids. Directed by Snyder, who also co-wrote the script with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten, this first movie stars Sofia Boutella as a mysterious woman named Kora, who accidentally kills a bunch of soldiers from the evil Motherworld Imperium army, and needs to recruit a team of fighters to face the inevitable retaliation. There’s plenty of action, weird aliens, and laser guns along the way.
