Fans of Stephen King’s novel turned movie Pet Sematary will soon have a prequel to the 2019 film. Set in 1969, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines follows young Jud Crandall (Jackson White) who has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind. He soon discovers secrets buried (literally and figuratively) under the town and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Together with his childhood friends, Jud must fight an ancient evil that has gripped the town since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.

Directed and written by Lindsey Anderson Beer (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and Chaos Walking), Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is not part of Stephen King’s novel series since he never actually wrote a prequel. Instead, the movie is a new story based on King’s Pet Sematary that will focus on the same characters and create more Pet Sematary lore.

Ahead of the October 2023 release date, Paramount+ has released the first full-length trailer for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, giving viewers a new look at Ludlow, the haunted burial ground, and what to expect from the new backstory of Jud Crandall.

Here’s how to watch Pet Sematary: Bloodlines along with the Pet Sematary: Bloodlines release date and Pet Sematary: Bloodlines release time.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will be exclusively streamed on Paramount+, and will not be available to watch in theaters.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will begin streaming on Paramount+ on Friday, October 6.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines should begin streaming on the morning of Friday, October 6 at 12 a.m. PT, or 3 a.m. ET. If you don’t see it there immediately, first of all, go back to sleep. But second of all, keep refreshing, sometimes it takes movies and shows a few minutes to appear!

Sure is! Watch it above.
