Love Is Blind Season 6 came in hot with the drama! This latest trip to the pods has already given us enough spicy reality romance to keep us satisfied for a whole year — but there’s still a lot more of Season 6 on the way. This wild ride has just gotten started.
Since you’ve clearly already binged the first six episodes of Love Is Blind Season 6, we’re here to remind you of where everyone’s at emotionally going into Week 2. We’re also going to let you know when Episodes 7-9 will arrive on Netflix. Keep on reading for all the answers!
When an episode is titled “Feeling Uncomfy,” you know things are going to take a turn. Of course that turn comes during the cast’s first big out-of-the-pods hang session during their romantic vacation in the Dominican Republic. Not only is this the first time that all of the couples are meeting each other, it’s also the first time that the guys are seeing all of the women they dated in the pods and vice versa. Things are always uncomfy during this party, but Season 6 takes things to a new level.
First let’s talk about Amy and Johnny, who have nothing of significance happen at the party. They’re still coasting along towards their wedding day, now firmly established as the most stable couple of the bunch.
Then there’s Brittany and Kenneth. AD got to have a one-on-one chat with Kenneth about him being in an interracial couple. She was initially concerned about Brittany knowing what it means to raise Black children, and then shifted to reassuring Kenneth that he can be Black and proud and still marry a white woman.
As for AD and Clay, they settled their differences before the party. AD checked Clay for his dismissive comments about a hypothetical future wherein she gained weight. Men: stop telling your fiancée that your vigilance and tough love (or whatever) won’t let her gain weight. It’s weird.
And then there are our final two couples: Laura and Jeramey, and Chelsea and Jimmy. Laura and Jeramey’s romance has a combative vibe to it, but that seems to be their personalities and how they express affection… at least for now. But an insensitive and indecipherable joke about “bean dip” at the hang out left Laura furious with Jeramey and Jeramey ready to head home to Charlotte.
Tied for COUPLE MOST IN DANGER is Chelsea and Jimmy. Chelsea spent a not insignificant portion of the getaway trying to make sure that Jimmy loves her. These insecurities bubbled up big time at the party when Jimmy and AD had a one-on-one conversation. Chelsea got very upset about this; mind you, Jimmy and AD’s convo was initiated because Chelsea told AD that Jimmy said she was “stacked.” If Jimmy hadn’t said that, if Chelsea hadn’t shouted across the party to immediately tell AD, if Jimmy hadn’t talked to AD, if if if. Jimmy, of course, was talking about how much he loved Chelsea all night long and was shocked to be met with tears back at their room. No matter how many times Jimmy says he loves Chelsea, she’s having a hard time believing him.
