


Meet The Press, the long-running NBC News series that mixes politicians and pundits with journalists, is kicking off its 77th season this Sunday with a new host and a notable guest.
Kristen Welker, who was co-anchor of Weekend Today and was previously a White House correspondent for NBC, will be the new host of Meet The Press, taking over for longtime host Chuck Todd. Welker will kick off her tenure with an interview with former President Donald Trump, his first broadcast interview since he left office.
Trump will appear on Meet The Press this Sunday, September 17. Meet the Press airs live in most markets at 9 a.m. ET on NBC. In New York and Washington, D.C. the show airs at 10:30 a.m. To find out what time the show airs in your area, you can check your local listings here.
If you have cable and you miss the original airing, Meet The Press also re-airs at 2 p.m. ET/PT Sundays and 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. ET Mondays on MSNBC.
Trump’s interview will not be conducted live, it was pre-taped on Thursday, September 14th, in Bedminster, N.J. at his New Jersey golf club. In a preview clip released by NBC News, Welker sits with Trump and discusses his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and explains his plan to end the war in the Ukraine, and also declares that the war never would have happened has be been elected. Other topics that will be addressed in Welker’s interview with Trump will include his potential jail time, his stances on issues like abortion, and whether he will pardon himself if he’s reelected.
