Calling all 9-1-1 fans! Another can’t miss Season 8 episode is on the horizon.
After ABC’s hit first responder drama made its highly-anticipated midseason return on March 6, fans were left on a major cliffhanger when Detective Amber Braeburn (Abigail Spencer) kidnapped Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt).
The two-part premiere event continues with Season 2, Episode 10, “Voices,” which ABC teases in this synopsis: “Following Maddie’s mysterious 9-1-1 call, Chimney returns home to find his daughter alone and Maddie nowhere to be found; he then enlists Athena and Romero to help investigate.”
While we always have faith whenever Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) is on the case, 9-1-1 co-creator and showrunner Tim Minear did say there’s major cause for concern.
“It’s probably the scariest episode we’ve ever done,” Minear told Decider over Zoom. “Abigail is lights-out. She is so good…She’s going to blow your mind in Episode 10…Oh my god, Jennifer is astounding. I mean, it’s what you’ve come to expect from Jennifer Love Hewitt. She’s completely believable and really draws you in and takes you on the ride with her. Is it the most insane thing we’ve done with with Maddie? I mean, it might be. It possibly even pushed a little bit more than the story with her ex-husband.”
After you’ve read our full preview interview with Minear, be sure to set your alarms accordingly to ensure you don’t miss a moment of 9-1-1 Season 8, Episode 10. Is 9-1-1 on tonight, March 13?
