Are you ready for…9-1-1: Contagion?!

Either way, it’s coming! And after witnessing bee-nado, seeing Athena land a plane, and tuning in for a slew of other high-stakes Season 8 emergencies, fans aren’t going to want to miss 9-1-1‘s latest ambitious two-parter.

Last week, Season 8, Episode 13 saw Hen (Aisha Hinds) belatedly celebrate her (forgotten!) birthday with loved ones and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) stand up to his mom and make serious progress in his relationship with Christopher (Gavin McHugh). This week, the 9-1-1 team is upping the ante with a major emergency inspired by the 2011 film, Contagion.

Per ABC, the official synopsis for Season 8, Episode 14, “Sick Day” is as follows, “In part one of a two-part episode, the 118 is called to a research lab that has been set on fire and becomes a biohazard.”

When Decider caught up with Guzman after 8×12, he teased what’s in store for Eddie and his pals, saying Eddie will continue his search for “identity” and continue showing up as a father for Chris, but that “Things are going to happen in Eddie’s life that completely destroy his foundation all over again. And we will see how he recoups from that. Is he going to go backwards? Or is he going to learn from his past and continue to evolve? There’s going to be some massive things that happen in Eddie’s life soon.”

In Part 1 of our interview, Guzman also stressed that Eddie is “not going to sacrifice his relationship with his son” to return to Los Angeles, “so without his blessing, there’s nothing happening that’s going to bring him back — slight of a crazy event.” It seems like that crazy event is the “ambitious” two-parter Minear teased for 8×14 and 8×15, which possibly leads to Bobby’s death?!?!

After you’ve caught up on our full preview interview with Guzman, read on to learn how to watch 9-1-1 Season 8, Episode 14 live and online. Is 9-1-1 on tonight, April 10? And what time is 9-1-1 on? We’ve got you covered.
