If you’re a fan of The Twilight Zone, you may recognize “The After Hours” as the title of Season 1, Episode 34 of The Twilight Zone, which aired back in 1960. Per the episode description, “The After Hours” follows a character named Marsha White who takes a department store elevator to the ninth floor where she buys a gold thimble as a gift for her mother. She takes the elevator back down, notices the thimble is scratched, and complains to a store manager, only to be told there is no ninth floor in the store. On top of that, she realizes everyone around her is a mannequin — herself included. In the world of “The After Hours,” one mannequin becomes human for a month, then returns and trades places with another mannequin, and it’s Marsha’s turn to return to mannequin life. Interesting… Taking elevator to a mysterious floor? Switching from one persona to another? Sounds familiar. Will The Twilight Zone episode come up again on Severance episode? Tune in to find out.
