The Cougars overcame a 14-point deficit in the final eight minutes on Saturday night to defeat Cooper Flagg and the Blue Devils to advance to the finals for the first time since 1984 (the famous Phi Slama Jama era). Led by Walter Clayton Jr.’s 34-point performance, the Gators outlasted Auburn, winning 79-73 to set up their championship matchup against Houston.
