Peacemaker is back, and this time, he’s part of the DCU.
Season 2 of the John Cena-led series Peacemaker returns to HBO Max tonight, Aug. 21, three years after the first season aired and one cinematic universe reset later.
Now existing within the DCU (and sharing continuity with Peacemaker creator/DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn‘s Superman film), Season 2 will follow Peacemaker (a.k.a. Chris Smith) as he discovers alternate worlds where life is everything he wants it to be, but this discovery also forces him to further face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands.
The main cast from Season 1 is returning for Season 2, with a few key additions, including Frank Grillo reprising his Creature Commandos and Superman role as Rick Flag Sr.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes will continue to drop weekly on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET through Oct. 9.
Peacemaker is an original series on HBO Max, so you’ll need a subscription to stream new episodes.
If you’re new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $9.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $16.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $16.99/month and without ads, $29.99/month.
Unlike Season 1, which had a three-episode premiere, Season 2 of Peacemaker is premiering with just one episode on Aug. 21. New episodes will continue to drop weekly on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET through Oct. 9.
You can expect to see these familiar faces when Peacemaker returns for Season 2.
In addition, a handful of new actors were added to the Peacemaker cast for Season 2.
