Fans of full-grown Xenomorphs, creepy facehuggers, and synthetic beings, rejoice! FX‘s Alien: Earth is almost here!
Fargo and Legion mastermind Noah Hawley‘s latest FX show is a bold new chapter in the Alien franchise. Set around the same time that Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) finds herself fighting for her life on the other side of the galaxy aboard the Nostromo, Alien: Earth imagines what would happen if one of those Weyland-Yutani research vessels made it all the way back home, only to crash land right into a residential high rise. As its name suggests, Alien: Earth takes the thrills and chills of the original Alien movies and unleashes them on planet earth.
Alien: Earth reveals that Weyland-Yutani isn’t the only super corporation up to mischief. Rival company Prodigy, headed by the mercurial Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin), has figured out how to transfer human consciousness into a super-powered synthetic body. The one wrinkle is so far, the procedure has only been successful with dying children like Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and her pals Nibs (Lily Newmark), Slightly (Adarsh Gourav), Smee (Jonathan Ajayi), Curly (Erana James), and Tootles (Kit Young).
When a Weyland-Yutani vessel carrying samples of five distinct alien creatures, including the iconic Xenomorphs, crashes into Prodigy territory, Wendy leads a mission to save her medic brother Hermit (Alex Lawther), who is caught up in the wreckage. She is joined by the synth Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) and working at odds with cyborg Morrow (Babou Ceesay).
