The novel centers around Pip Fitz-Amobi, who will be played by Wednesday’s Emma Myers. Year prior to the start of the story, a murder-suicide occurred between popular Andi Bell and her boyfriend Sal Singh in Pip’s small town. While many people think this case is closed, Pip believes there is more to the tragedy than what is known and that the actual killer is still on the loose. With the help of Sal’s younger brother Ravi, played by Zain Iqbal, Pip decides to investigate deeper into the case, with her cover story being that she is working on a school project. As she looks closer into what happened, she finds some shocking evidence that shows that this crime is bigger than what anyone had previously thought.

The series has six episodes in total, with each episode ranging from 40 minutes to 48 minutes and covers the entirety of the book.
