Gen V Season 2 is ramping up the action as it approaches what is sure to be a dramatic season finale.
The Prime Video series returned with an action-packed Season 2 that shows Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway) and Jordan (Derek Luh and London Thor) teaming up to investigate and stop whatever evil plan Godolkin University’s evil new dean has cooked up. But it turns out to be even worse than they could have imagined when Marie learns she and Homelander both hailed from Cipher’s Project Odessa, leading to some unnecessary jokes and triggering an existential crisis for Marie.
But, last week’s episode revealed the broader scope of Dean Cipher’s (Hamish Linklater) evil plan, which aims to do much more than just create godlike supes. He wants to cull the university – and then, probably, the world – of ‘weaker’ superheroes to allow the strongest to rise up in power.
On the brighter side, Marie got to reunite with her long lost sister (and Victoria Neuman’s deadly daughter, Zoe.) The family reunion was bittersweet, however, as Annabeth struggled to reconcile with Marie after she accidentally killed their parents. But Annabeth is an exciting new addition to the gang thanks to her ability to see into the future.
