NextImg:What the Knicks are willing to offer 76ers in potential Joel Embiid trade

What the Knicks would be comfortable giving up in a potential Joel Embiid trade may not be enough.

As the reigning MVP’s former agent, Knicks president Leon Rose, keeps tabs on what could be a combustible situation in Philadelphia as the 76ers deal with James Harden’s latest trade request, the Philadelphia Inquirer revealed what the Knicks are willing to part with for the 29-year-old big man.

Rose would give up three players among the group of Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson and Evan Fournier along with two or three first-round draft picks, the paper reported Tuesday morning.

Such an offer could fall short of what other executives offer Sixers president Daryl Morey, but if Embiid does end up wanting out of Philly and has a preference on where he wants to play, that could complicate matters.

Sources told The Post’s Stefan Bondy that Embiid is one of three potential star targets the Knicks are monitoring, along with the Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell and the Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns.

Embiid has been mentioned around league circles for months as the Knicks’ ideal acquisition.

While Embiid comes with an injury risk — he missed the first two years of his career with a foot injury and has never played more than 68 games in a season — he’s a truly elite player when healthy.

An All-Star in each of the last six seasons, Embiid has led the NBA in points per game the past two years.

He averaged 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 blocks while shooting 54.8 percent from the field last season en route to winning MVP.

The 76ers have been unable to get past the second round of the NBA playoffs during Embiid’s career.

Embiid is entering the first year of a four-year, $213 million contract that has a player option for the 2026-27 season.
