Olivia Culpo and husband-to-be Christian McCaffrey will be doing something “a little less common” on their wedding day.
When discussing the pair’s upcoming nuptials with People, the former Miss Universe winner shared that the couple will forgo a first look and save the big reveal before they say “I do.”
“I know for sure we’re not going to do a first look, so he won’t see me until I’m walking down the aisle, I think that that’s a little less common these days,” Culpo said Tuesday.
The countdown to the big day is officially on following Culpo and McCaffrey’s dreamy engagement last April.
McCaffrey — who is entering his second full season with the 49ers after being acquired midway through the 2022 season — popped the question to Culpo during an offseason getaway, presenting the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum with a stunning oval-cut ring with side stones designed by the New York-based jeweler Ring Concierge.
The pair celebrated their engagement over the summer with an intimate party in the model’s native Rhode Island.
Culpo later enjoyed a lavish bachelorette party in Mexico with her nearest and dearest, including sisters Aurora and Sophia.
The star San Francisco running back, 27, previously revealed Culpo, 32, had been taking the reins with wedding planning.
“She’s done a hell of a job,” McCaffrey told “Extra” in February before Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas.
“She’s definitely steering the ship when it comes to anything regarding the wedding as of now, but I give my input when needed, but obviously her style is unbelievable and everything she wants I also like, so it’s going really well. I’m so thankful I have someone like her who’s not just supporting me the way she is, but also handling all stuff like that, allowing me to do what I love in the moment while she’s still working on her career as well.”
Culpo has long supported McCaffrey on game days, both with the 49ers and Panthers, who traded the former first-round pick to San Francisco in 2022.
The 49ers reached the Super Bowl last season but fell short to the Chiefs in overtime, 25-22.
Despite the outcome of the game, Culpo lauded McCaffrey on what was a memorable season.
“Thanking God for a healthy season and for putting my best friend on this earth,” she posted on Instagram in late February. “Now let’s get married!”
The 49ers will open the 2024 NFL season at home against the Jets on “Monday Night Football” on Sept. 9.
