The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 27 in Kansas City.
The Jets will head to town with six picks, including No. 13 overall, while the Giants have 10, beginning with No. 25.
The Post’s Paul Schwartz and Brian Costello look at what the two teams may do with their selections when it comes to specialists.
The Giants are set at place-kicker with Graham Gano, who at age 36 shows no sign of wearing down. He’s made 92 percent of his field goal attempts in his three seasons with the Giants.
It was somewhat surprising the decision was made to re-sign (two years, $4 million) punter Jamie Gillan after his up-and-down 2022 debut season with the team.
The left-footed Gillan has great power in his leg but needs to work on the finer points of the position. Steady long snapper Casey Kreiter was also brought back.
The Giants have not had a legitimate kickoff and punt returner who scared opponents and finding one in this draft would be a bonus.
How about Derius Davis, a diminutive speed demon from TCU? He can fly. He returns punts and kickoffs and perhaps Brian Daboll could figure out a place for him on offense.

The Jets hope they have solved their kicking woes with Greg Zuerlein, who will be back for a second season.

They just signed Thomas Morstead to be their punter, signaling an end for Braden Mann.
It is hard to see the Jets investing a draft pick in either position after just committing to those two.
Special teams is always a consideration when drafting Day 3 players and special teams coordinator Brant Boyer will be pushing for Joe Douglas to add players who can contribute on special teams.
