The streaming game has become daunting as new services launch. However, more platforms are more connected than you think — just take those under MyDisney.

While Disney purchased their first stake in Hulu in 2009 — two years after its debut — they landed full control of the streaming service in 2023 after buying a 33% stake from Comcast, per the Associated Press. Meanwhile, ESPN was acquired by Disney in 1996, over two decades before the streaming service ESPN+ launched in 2018.

This holy trinity of streaming may comprise a popular bundle, but they also now share a login, thanks to MyDisney.

Whether you just heard of it or are trying to figure out what exactly MyDisney is, we’ve got you covered.

Want to learn more about MyDisney? Take a look at what we know below.

According to The Walt Disney Company itself, MyDisney was created to be a “seamless login experience by using just a single email and password across services and experiences from The Walt Disney Company.”

When MyDisney was implemented, Disney prompted users to update their password when attempting to log in to one of their services in order to streamline the process. However, critics have been lamenting this transition online for months, calling out Hulu for logging them out of the service altogether and causing confusion for those with accounts with different email addresses.

Disney outlined the steps for those using more than one email address across various MyDisney sanctioned services, requesting that they “cancel any subscriptions associated with an email address that [they] don’t want to use.” Afterward, they must “sign up for those same subscriptions with the email” they would like across all their Disney services, and “Disney will recognize that email and ask [them] to log in with [their] MyDisney password.”

According to the MyDisney website, a MyDisney account can be used to log in to Disney+,, ESPN+, ABC, ABC News, National Geographic, NatGeoTV, Freeform and FXNow.

There are other experiences outside of streaming that a MyDisney account login can grant you access to as well, such as Walt Disney World and Disneyland, plus entertainment services like Marvel and Star Wars.

You will be prompted to set up a MyDisney account when you sign up for one of the aforementioned services, such as Disney+ or Hulu, per the Disney+ Help Center website. This login will then be used across all services that are under MyDisney. The website notes that if you had already created an account on a Walt Disney company service prior to MyDisney, then your previous email address and password are your MyDisney login.
