Michelle Trachtenberg has tragically died at the age of 39. She was found dead in her New York City apartment on February 26. According to ABC News, Trachtenberg recently underwent a liver transplant and is believed to have died from natural causes.
The actress was best known for her roles in the television shows Gossip Girl as Georgina Sparks and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Buffy’s sister Dawn Summers.
With a career starting at age three starring in a detergent commercial, Trachtenberg played characters in numerous TV series and movies, including Law & Order, Clarissa Explains It All, Weeds and Criminal Minds. Some of her surprising TV appearances include roles in Robot Chicken and Six Feet Under.
