NextImg:What do tickets cost for Phillies vs. Diamondbacks NLCS games?

It’s underdog vs. underdog.

For the second consecutive season, two National League Wild Card teams — this year, the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks — are in the NLCS.

Starting Monday, Oct. 16, the unlikely World Series contenders will begin their best-of-seven series at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park.

“We’re excited,” Phillies star Bryce Harper said in a post-game interview. “There’s nothing like it.”

This will be the second year in a row the Phillies have advanced to the National League Championship Series; for the Diamondbacks, it’s their first trip since 2007 and is especially surprising. The team went 74-88 last season and had less than 1% odds of winning it all before the season started.

“I don’t think anyone gave us a chance to be here,” Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said in a postgame interview. “(Now) I feel like we can compete with anybody.”

And if you want to be in Philly or Phoenix to witness Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Nick Castellanos, Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola take on Corbin Carroll, Zac Gallen, Ketel Marte, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Merrill Kelly live, you can grab tickets as soon as today.

Should you choose to go to a game at Citizens Bank Park, the cheapest ticket we could find was going for as low as $352 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Prices start at $87 before fees at Chase Field.

Over the 162-game season, the Phillies and Diamondbacks met seven times.

Philadelphia took four of the contests, including the last three.

Still, the fact that the Diamondbacks have gotten this far is a miracle in and of itself.

Should they win it all, they would be the biggest long shot since oddsmakers started making World Series predictions during Spring Training in 1985 according to the NY Post.

In February of this year, Torey Lovullo’s club had +12500 odds to win it all; that translates to a less than 1% chance of taking home the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Alternatively, the Phillies had +1400 odds of calling themselves World Champions when all is said and done, USA Today reported.

The Phillies are coming off an upset win over the heavily-favored Braves in the NLDS where Nick Castellanos hit two home runs in back-to-back games for the first time in postseason history.

As for the Diamondbacks, their journey is just as shocking. The team swept the Brewers and Dodgers behind their squad’s powerful bats — four back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs in Game Three of the NLDS certainly helped — and masterful pitching from Gallen, Kelly and Brandon Pfaadt.

All year long, many of the biggest names in music are trekking all over the country with their hits in tow.
