When Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart aren’t on the court, they’re chopping it up.
In addition to playing for the New York Knicks, the former Villanova teammates and good friends have been hosting ‘The Roommates Show Podcast’ since February 2024.
Past inside-basketball heavy episodes have featured current teammates Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges as well as former Knicks like Patrick Ewing, Clyde Frazier, John Starks, Julius Randle and Isaiah Hartenstein. Superfans Ben Stiller, Fat Joe, Tracy Morgan and Action Bronson have all appeared as well.
And, now, for the second consecutive year, they’re taking their lively show to Central Park.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, Brunson and Hart will host the second annual ‘Roommates Show Block Party: 2025 Season Kickoff Party’ at Rumsey Playfield in the Park.
Special guests joining them this year include Stiller, Eli Manning, Jordan Clarkson and musical guest A$AP Ferg. Other surprise guests — who may be Knicks players, celebrity fans, and other cultural icons — have yet to be announced.
There will also be “premium giveaways, merch and more” according to Brunson’s Instagram.
Last year’s packed event brought in approximately 5,000 fans and featured pop-a-shots, a live performance from Action Bronson and Brunson tossing signed balls into the crowd as seen in this upbeat post-event video.
“With all the excitement in the air, this celebration was clearly about more than just a podcast—it was about the enduring bond between the Knicks and their fans, and our hopes for the upcoming NBA campaign,” Posting and Toasting wrote about the 2024 Block Party.

Personally, we’re most excited for the season opener at MSG against the Cavs on Oct. 22 and showdown with Brunson’s former team, the Mavericks, on Jan. 19, 2026.
