The New York Rangers are just four wins away from their first Stanley Cup appearance since 2014.
Those victories won’t come easy, though.
In order to reach the NHL’s finals, Peter Laviolette’s squad will have to get through the 2023 Eastern Conference champion Florida Panthers first.
Both teams are coming off hard-fought series; New York finished off the Carolina Hurricanes behind the heroics of star’s Chris Kreider’s Game 6 third period hat trick while Florida is riding high thanks to center Anton Lundell’s goal and assist that sealed the deal for the Panthers.
And if you want to root the 2023-24 Presidents’ Trophy-winning Broadway Blueshirts on their home ice once again, it isn’t too late to grab last-minute tickets for Game 1 on Wednesday, May 22 and Game 2 on Friday, May 24 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for that pair of contests was $375 before fees on Vivid Seats.
While that may sound expensive, it’s hard to put a price on seeing Igor Shesterkin, Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox and possibly the recently cleared Blake Wheeler (!) the Rangers at home in the playoffs.
Tickets start at $187 before fees for games at the Panthers’ Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, FL.

Been a while since you’ve been to MSG?
For a closer look at all the views from the stands, here’s a map of New York City’s Madison Square Garden:
Over the course of this year’s regular season, the Rangers won just one of three games against the Panthers.
In their first matchup, Florida won 4-3 at Amerant Bank Arena on Dec. 29, 2023 behind a pair of Sam Reinhart goals.
After that, the Rangers dropped a second game against the Panthers, losing 4-2 on March 4 at MSG. Once again, Reinhart scored twice.
The season series came to a close on March 23; the Rangers finally beat Florida that day winning 4-3 in a shootout. Artemi Panarin was the hero that day for the Blueshirts, with two goals, one of which was the game winner.
As noted earlier, the Panthers advanced to the Stanley Cup last season; they lost 4-1 at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights. They came back hungry this year.
“A team doesn’t make it all the way back to the third round for a second straight year, after falling just three wins short of hoisting the Stanley Cup the previous season, unless it is insatiably fueled by the prospect of finishing what it started,” said Mollie Walker of the New York Post.

Fans hoping to catch the Rangers from the comfort of their own home are in luck.
All games will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, TNT, and TBS — just make sure to check your local listings before tuning in. You can watch all of these channels and more with a DirecTV Stream subscription, which comes with a five-day free trial for new subscribers.
