Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek’s tense exchange at the Balenciaga show is being dissected.
According to UK-based expert witness and forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman, Kidman is believed to have said to Hayek, “Let’s turn here.”
Freeman suggested to Page Six that the “Undoing” alum replied, “Hey, I’m fine, I’m good. There, it’s enough, it’s OK.”
Hayek then interjected, starting to say, “We have to….,” before putting her arm around Katy Perry, 39.
Freeman told the outlet that Hayek then added, “That’s fine, that’s fine,” and directed the songstress to face photographers.
The actresses went viral in a Paris fashion week video from two weeks ago where Hayek, 58, tried to get Kidman, 57, to turn toward other cameras after taking a picture with Perry on Sept. 30.
However, the “Perfect Couple” star pushed the “Living it Up” alum’s arm away.
Hayek, whose husband François-Henri Pinault owns Balenciaga, looked taken aback by the interaction as she told photographers that Kidman, who is a brand ambassador for the company, was done.
The Post has reached out to Hayek and Kidman’s reps for comment.
Fans took to X to share their theories about what went down between the actors.
“Nicole looked out of it. It looked like Salma was trying to help her,” one person tweeted.
“She definitely seemed like she was bothered by Salma. Yikes,” another user wrote.
A third person chimed in: “It appears she didn’t appreciate that Salma was attempting to physically move her. She said something with a faint smile, then released herself when Salma didn’t take her hands off her.”
The day after the incident, on Oct. 1, the “Without Blood” actress appeared completely unbothered by the incident as she shared a photo with the “Babygirl” star from the Balenciaga show.
In the Instagram picture, Kidman stared at the floor with a smile on her face as she posed next to Hayek, who looked right at the camera.
