A Welsh singer’s forest school was shut down by authorities after it harmed anicent woodland and was putting wildlife at risk.

Charlotte Church’s The Awen Project, which billed itself as a “new model for learning” was kicked out of the Cwm George and Casehill Woods in Dinas Powys – located right outside of Cardiff – by the Woodland Trust, a conservation charity that works to protect woods throughout the UK..

The Trust told the 37-year-old “Crazy Chick” singer and her husband, Jonathan Powell, that they were being removed from the area after “multiple breaches,” according to The Penarth Times.

The Awen Project “posed health and safety concerns for our visitors and wildlife,” the Trust said.

“Sadly, and after much deliberation, we have taken the decision to terminate the current permission granted to the Awen Project for their use of Cwm George & Casehill Woods,” a spokesperson said, according to the local outlet.

The Woodland Trust is now offering a new Forest School license.

However, Church’s children’s school is appealing for help after their eviction, saying: “It has been a rollercoaster – and we tried so hard to stay where we were – but as a very small charity we just couldn’t keep going against the big guys.”

She asked her followers in an Instagram post to let her charity know if there was any land available in nearby areas to rehouse the school.

Last month, Church listed her six-bedroom house, The Spinney, for $2.7 million after living there for more than a decade. The Dinas Powys home is surrounded by ancient woodlands, according to House Beautiful.
