Here comes the cuteness.
A viral TikTok video captured the moment a group of chivalrous young wedding guests escorted a sleepy flower girl to perform her duties just before she conked out.
“When the flower girl falls asleep her security steps in,” Briana Imbriano, the flower girl’s mother, captioned the heartwarming clip.
“They understood the assignment #flowermen #cousins #wedding.”
Footage shows flower-toting toddler Charlotte Rose being carried down the aisle by her cousin once removed, John Peter Tripiccione, followed by twins Matt and Jack Colella who performed the floral blessing on her behalf.
“We were getting ready to go and [Charlotte] started then sleeping. So she fell asleep right on [Tripiccione’s] shoulder, nestled right in and we were like, ‘OK, this is how we’re doing this,'” Imbriano, sister of the bride, told Good Morning America.
“So she fell asleep — but it honestly made it perfect because it was adorable.”
To everyone’s delight, the young men marched gleefully in Rose’s stead with all the positive energy the event deserved.
And the bride and groom, Tara Colella and John Hallman, weren’t a bit derailed by the last-minute change.
“We were all hysterical. It was the funniest thing ever,” said Imbriano, with whom the 8 million viewers of the viral video would likely agree. “It was the perfect combination of funny and cute.”
“In my sister’s eyes and my brother-in-law’s eyes, my daughter is an angel so … anything she does is perfect. So it didn’t matter if she was sleeping or walking, she was there so it was perfect,” Imbriano assured in her morning show interview.
Meanwhile, the sleeping cutie wasn’t down for the count just yet.
“She woke up right in time to stuff her face at cocktail hour,” said her mom.
