Emily Seaman Hoy, a contestant on Tuesday night’s (Oct. 3) Champion Wildcard Tournament of Jeopardy!, revealed that she has a unique traveling tradition.
“Well, every time we go someplace iconic, my brother, my husband, and I like to make a pyramid in front of the most iconic view of that thing,” she explained in an interview during last night’s episode.
This tradition has allowed her to capture moments in front of the great pyramids in Egypt, the pyramids outside Mexico City, and under the Northern Lights. What was their “next big goal” on their human pyramid bucket list?
“Our next big goal is to get a pyramid on the Jeopardy! stage with the host of Jeopardy!” she told Ken Jennings.
“We have never done a human pyramid here, and I don’t think I’ve ever been in one,” Jennings replied. “So, we’ll talk after the show.”
Jennings ultimately helped Seaman Hoy live out her dream, which played out during the episode’s credits.
“Let me hop in for somebody,” Jennings said.
According to TV Insider, the Champions Wildcard competition has set out to bring back Season 37 and Season 38 champions to compete for a chance at the Tournament of Champions.
“These are all impressive players, they all know what it’s like to be named champion here on Jeopardy!, but they all had runs that didn’t quite last long enough to qualify them for the Tournament of Champions,” Jennings said at the beginning of the episode.
Although Emily ultimately came in second place and didn’t earn a spot in the coveted Tournament of Champions, she did take part in Ken Jennings’ and Jeopardy‘s first-ever human pyramid.
I think that’s a win in itself!
Jeopardy! airs weeknights at 7/6c. Check out the website for local listings.
