The nostalgia blues were certainly a-calling.

Daytime talk show host Kelly Clarkson and Kelsey Grammer sang the iconic “Frasier” theme song, “Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs,” during Tuesday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

“Y’all know how this goes,” Grammer, 68, said before singing the opening line: “Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin’ tossed salads and scrambled eggs.”

Clarkson, 41, then joined by harmonizing with the “Cheers” alum while her studio band played the jazzy tune.

At the song’s conclusion, the “Breakaway” songstress smiled from ear to ear.

“Thank you for jamming out with me,” Clarkson gushed to the Golden Globe winner, adding that the experience was “a dream come true.”

David Hyde Pierce, who played Frasier’s brother Niles Crane, said he would not be returning to the show.

“I never really wanted to go back,” he told the Los Angeles Times last month. “It’s not like I said, ‘Oh, I don’t ever want to do that again.’ I loved every moment. It was that I wanted to do other things.”

“When I first got the role, the key to Frasier for me was that he loved her with his whole heart, that he loved with all of his being. And that actually defined who he is,” Grammer said, referring to Long’s character Diane Chambers.

“He’s been that way ever since. He just goes in wholeheartedly with everything — and that’s what makes him funny.”
