Von Miller will continue to play for the Bills after allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend since the legal process is still unfolding.

Last month, Miller was accused of pushing his girlfriend, who yelled, “stop, I’m pregnant,” and putting his hand around her neck and applying pressure at their apartment in Dallas after a dispute that reportedly began over a confrontation regarding travel plans during the Bills’ bye week.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane spoke to reporters Wednesday about Miller’s status.

“Von is here. He’ll be a part of the team, and we’ll let the investigation [play out] and we’ll follow the lead of the NFL,” Beane said.

Beane added that he does not “expect” Miller to be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list — a mechanism the NFL uses to sideline players who have been accused but not convicted of serious crimes with pay — at this time.

Beane said the allegations “seem out of character” for Miller, who has been with the Bills since the start of last season.

Miller was charged with third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman and released on $5,000 bond.

Beane was asked at the presser if he was disappointed with Miller in light of the allegations.

“No one wants their name associated with any accusation like that, so that’s a natural disappointment. I’m sure he’s disappointed,” Beane said, as covered by the Associated Press.

“But things happen sometimes, and again, we have to remember people, we have to give them their fair due process. That can happen to anyone in this room. And I would hope we would all wait and let that play out before we rush to judgement.”

The Bills (6-6) play the Chiefs (8-4) in Kansas City on Sunday.
