Jordan Addison pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in a 2024 DUI case on Thursday. 

The Vikings wide receiver’s attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna, told ESPN that Addison took a “wet reckless” charge, and will be placed on 12 months of probation, pay a $390 fine and complete two online courses.

“While Mr. Addison’s case would have made for a great trial, I admire him for taking responsibility by accepting the city attorney’s ‘wet reckless’ offer,” Sparagna said in a statement to the outlet. “Now he can put this incident behind him and solely focus on his promising career.”

His agent, Tim Younger, said on X that over the past year, Addison has “voluntarily participated” in Mothers Against Drunk Driving events.

“After reflection, [Addison] decided to enter this plea understanding the ramifications of this decision,” Younger continued. “He has kept the organization apprised throughout these legal proceedings, and will continue in his full commitment to being a valuable member of his team.”

The third-year wideout could face a three-game suspension from the league based on its substance abuse policy.

“We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review,” the NFL said in a statement to ESPN.

Addison was arrested last July after being found “asleep behind the wheel” near Los Angeles International Airport. 

He was determined to have a blood-alcohol content higher than the legal limit of .08 percent.

In his first comments after the arrest last July, Addison admitted that he was in a “dark place” after the incident, and would “stand tall” through “whatever disciplinary actions that come [his] way.”

It was the second driving incident for Addison in roughly a year after being cited for driving 140 mph on I-94 in Minnesota in July 2023.

In two seasons with the Vikings, Addison has 133 catches for 1,786 yards with 19 touchdowns.
