Kobe Bryant will forever stand outside of Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

And he won’t be alone.

The late Lakers star, who died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, was memorialized with a statue, the first of three, which were unveiled on Thursday.

It depicts Bryant in his No. 8 jersey in the moments after his 81-point game in 2006 — a 19-foot, 4,000 pound version of the “Black Mamba” with his index finger raised in the air.

The statue’s base reads: “Kobe Bean Bryant,” with his nickname, “Black Mamba,” carved below with five replicas of the Larry O’Brien Trophy surrounding the platform.

The other statues will be of him with his daughter Gianna, who was among the passengers in the crash, and the third shows him in his No. 24 jersey, worn in the second half of his career.

Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, spoke before a packed house of legends, including NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and revealed that she picked out the pose for the No. 8 statue

“So if anyone has a problem with it, tough s–t,” she said.

The statue also includes one of the five-time NBA champions most iconic quotes, which Vanessa nodded to during the dedication speech.

“Leave the game better than you found it,” she said. “And when it comes time for you to leave, leave a legend.”

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, franchise legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Phil Jackson, Bryant’s coach for 11 seasons, were also on hand for the latest ode to the Hall of Famer’s life and career.

“I think of Kobe constantly, and I miss him and Gigi more than words can say,” Buss said. “But today, I’m filled with joy.”

The team donned their “Black Mamba” jerseys in honor of Bryant for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets, who played his entire 20-year career with the Lakers.

He starred in Los Angeles after making the jump from high school to NBA, twice winning NBA Finals MVP in addition to 18 All-Star Games, 15 All-NBA selections, was named the 2007-08 MVP and was part of the league’s 75th anniversary team in 2021.
