The Dream Team barely escaped a nightmare.

The U.S. rallied from a double-digit deficit to edge past Serbia, 95-91, in their Olympic semifinal on Thursday, earning the American side a date with France to decide the gold-medal winner on Saturday.

The win marks the 18th time in 20 tries the U.S. is playing for gold.

Serbia used a 3-point barrage to bury the U.S. early, attempting to earn some revenge for two Olympic lead-up losses.

The Serbians will now face Germany for a bronze medal.
