Erriyon Knighton better hope his tickets to Los Angeles are refundable.
The two-time Olympic finalist sprinter was hit with a four-year doping ban than officially rules him out of the 2028 Games in LA.
Knighton, 21, tested positive for a metabolite of trenbolone — an anabolic steroid used in livestock farming — in May 2024.
He claimed he had ingested tainted oxtail in an appeal that was accepted, though World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency appealed that ruling to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
“After considering the scientific evidence, the CAS panel determined that there is no proof that would support the conclusion that oxtail imported into the USA would be likely to contain trenbolone residues at the level required to have caused the (positive test),” the court said in a release.
CAS added that the two-month provisional ban he served last year will count as time served, meaning he would be allowed to return in July 2029.

Knighton’s 19.49 in the 200 meters in 2022 is the sixth-fastest run in the event’s history, with Noah Lyles and Michael Johnson the only faster American times.
Knighton became the youngest individual sprint medalist in World Championships history when he won bronze in 2022 at the age of 18.
He followed up with silver the next year.
The ruling does not disqualify him from the Paris Olympics, where he finished fourth.
