An emotional Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) made an impassioned plea Tuesday night for his supporters to donate any money they could to help former President Donald Trump following his historic arraignment.
Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity, Graham condemned Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his 34-count felony indictment of Trump in connection with “hush-money” payments to two women ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

“I’m sorry, I’m so upset, but please help President Trump,” Graham said. “If you can afford five or 10 bucks, if you can’t afford a dollar, fine. Just pray.
“Pray for this country. Pray for this president. And if you’ve got any money to give, give it.”
Like Trump, Graham suggested the indictment was politically motivated as he questioned why Bill Clinton was never prosecuted for lying under oath or why Hillary Clinton was not charged for mishandling government emails on a private server.
Trump is facing a possible maximum sentence of 136 years behind bars for his alleged role in orchestrating “catch and kill” payments to suppress negative stories about him during his successful run for the White House.

Graham called the case against Trump “legal trash” that would “destroy America,” claiming Bragg was just trying to drain the former president’s funds before the 2024 election.
“You need to help this man, Donald J. Trump,” Graham told Fox viewers. “They’re trying to drain him dry. He spent more money on lawyers than most people spend on campaigns. They’re trying to bleed him dry.

Graham insisted that all the money donated would go directly to Trump and to secure the GOP’s victory in future elections.
Representatives for Graham and Trump did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Graham’s plea was lampooned on MSNBC, where “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski likened him to a disgraced televangelist.
“Look at him!” Scarborough said at one point. “He’s starting to look more like Jim Bakker! It’s amazing.
“[I’m] not sure how Lindsey Graham can say he can help America, while weeping, by sending $25 to LindseyGraham.com.”
