An unhinged man went on a random, 10-minute whacking spree with a wooden plank in lower Manhattan Wednesday morning — smashing four victims over the head, cops said.
The maniac first hit an unsuspecting woman in her 30s on Gold Street and Beekman Street near the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge and Pace University shortly before 8:30 a.m., according to police.
She walked herself to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital with minor injuries.
“Some male came up to me and struck me with some sort of wooden object and fled,” the injured woman told cops at the hospital, according to the NYPD.
Moments after whacking his first victim, the brute attacked a 28-year-old man around Nassau Street and Beekman Street, police said.
He also suffered minor injuries and walked into a local hospital.
In his final act of violence, the deranged man smacked two elderly pedestrians — a 64-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man — standing on the corner of Church Street and Warren Street.
The pair, who do not know each other, were treated for minor injuries by responding EMTs, according to authorities.
Witnesses of the final attack spotted the suspect fleeing as cops descended on the area.
He was taken into custody with the help of transit cops after a brief chase on foot, police said.
Charges were pending and his identification was unknown, according to authorities.
