NextImg:UFC Vegas 94 predictions: Prelim, main card odds, picks for Lemos vs. Jandiroba

Back at the APEX Center for UFC Vegas 94, we are again headlined in the women’s division.

In what is expected to be a title eliminator, Amanda Lemos fights Virna Jandiroba in the strawweight division as a surprising underdog.

Unfortunately, we lost a middleweight fight between Brad Tavares and Jun Yog Park due to an illness, dropping us down to 11 fights for our wagering pleasure.

Last week was a dominant showing, going 4-0 on our fight previews and 6-5 overall while nailing a 10/1 long shot prop on Julian Erosa to win by submission.

More strong betting results here, as we profited 9.2 units on the night, bringing us up to a scoring hot 27.01 units of profit in the last four UFC fight cards.

The good times keep rolling as ESPN continues to give the UFC primetime treatment, with the prelims beginning on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. ET, and the main card at 8 p.m. ET, on ESPN.

Lemos is a hard-hitting strawweight that will have one thing on her mind: defend the takedown.

She defends at just a 57 percent rate, but six of those were against champion Zhang Weili, who landed six; other than that, Lemos has not been taken down multiple times in her UFC career.

Lemos even showed excellent defense against Mackenzie Dern.

Frankly, Lemos may be the best fighter in the strawweight division not named Weili.

Jandiroba isn’t bad in her own right, it’s just her striking that concerns me.

For starters, she is very hittable and seemingly only throws non-damaging leg kicks.

Jandiroba will look to shoot for takedowns at will and I have more belief in Lemos’ takedown defense than Jandiroba’s striking defense.

Lemos gets this one done.

PICK: Lemos moneyline (+114, DraftKings)

An interesting bout early in the main card as Bruno Silva faces wrestler Cody Durden.

In terms of finish rates, Silva should be expected to finish this fight should this fight get there, as Durden hasn’t finished any opponent yet in the UFC (four decision wins).

Durden is a solid fighter who lands multiple takedowns in fights that he wins; it’s his preferred method of victory.

Silva, standing at 5-foot-4, will have a bad size disadvantage and only defends takedowns at 54 percent, a terrible number.

It seems that Silva will accept bottom position to go for submission.

That could work out, it could easily end badly.

Durden by decision at +195 is a phenomenal number on BetRivers.

PICK: Durden by decision (+195, BetRivers)
