It wouldn’t be the Big East Tournament without a heated Dan Hurley.
More than halfway through the first half of the semifinal matchup between UConn and St. John’s and the Huskies leading 30-24, Hurley got hit with a technical as he tried to get a fan ejected from Madison Square Garden on Friday evening.
“Screaming in my face. Get him out of here!” Hurley screamed at the officials, as heard on the Fox broadcast.
“Get that guy out!” he repeated.
“Dan Hurley just told one of the officials to throw a fan out,” play-by-play man Gus Johnson said.
“Yeah, I think the gentleman in the red jacket right there, who they’re talking to right now,” analyst Jim Jackson replied.

The fan remained seated in the front row, wearing red, likely in support of the Johnnies.
The Red Storm are chasing an appearance in the Big East finals for the first time since 2000 — when they beat UConn.
St. John’s trailed 52-47 at the half in a thriller at MSG.
