Tyreek Hill made his intentions abundantly clear.
The Dolphins’ superstar wide receiver warned Cowboys stud linebacker Micah Parsons by telling him exactly what’s being planned.
“Micah Parsons, when we play you Dec. 25 on Christmas Day, I have a present for you, my boy,” Hill said on his “It Needed To Be Said” podcast. “I know you seen my little clip where I was blocking the D-end. I’m big like that, I’m off the edge like that, so you better watch your back. You better watch your back because I’m going to blindside you.”
The back-and-forth was sparked by Hill’s proclamation following the Dolphins’ 36-34 Week 1 win over the Chargers.
Hill, long nicknamed “Cheetah” for his speed, boasted “maybe I’m not a cheetah, I’m a lion” following his 11-reception, 215-yard and two-touchdown explosion.
That prompted Parsons to add his two cents.
“Tyreek, please do never say you’re a lion again [sic],” Parsons said on his own podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” in response. “Just stick to the cheetah. You don’t want nothing to do with this lion work. Please stay away from the lion. At least you did say you’re a baby lion. To me, you’ll be a cub, brother.”
Hill subsequently posted a clip on X, formerly Twitter, of himself blocking Patriots linebacker Josh Uche during the Dolphins’ Week 2 win, captioning it “This how ima do Micah and Chris Jones I’m too much on that edge.”
He shared the same sentiment on his podcast.
“I’m gonna show you that game who the real lion is,” Hill said. “Because I’m the cheetah and I’m the lion. I’m the real hybrid on the field, baby. So mess with it, big swole.”
Parsons on Friday posted on X that “Ima make my baby girl a cheetah blanket for Christmas [sic].”
The Dec. 24 matchup between the Dolphins and Cowboys will be at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Both Hill and Parsons have gotten off to red-hot starts through the first two games of their respective seasons.
Hill has 16 catches for 255 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Parsons has already recorded three sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
Both the Dolphins and Cowboys are 2-0.
In Week 3, Miami hosts the Broncos, while the Cowboys visit the Cardinals.
