When I traveled to Paris last month, my intentions were clear: buy the best French skincare possible. Before leaving, I researched and discovered a new favorite: Typology. A unique blend of high-quality ingredients made more affordable using a direct-to-consumer online-only approach integrating skincare into its beauty line without using suspect or harmful ingredients. The brand strips down to essentials using naturally derived ingredients from sustainable farms.
I was lucky to discover their first and only physical location in a Parisian department store. It was easy to spot with a frenzy of women who squeezed lotions, inhaled scents, and swiped on cherry-red lip tints with delight, myself included. The scene was juxtaposed with bored, onlooking Chanel sales associates, a household name that appeared to be losing its touch with French beauty.

Right now, Typology. is selling its most coveted product of the year: the Typology. Advent Calendar 2024. This is a great way to experience the brand for yourself, with a remarkable total value of $534.08, for sale at $279.90. It offers 24 curated products featuring 15 full-sized items that pamper your face, eyes, lips, and hands.

Meet the highly anticipated return of the limited-edition skincare Advent Calendar, now with an exquisite design by Erwan Bouroullec. Each item is crafted in France with natural, vegan ingredients, with an emphasis on sustainability and effectiveness.
Although more accessible, this brand can be a bit pricy, but I find the value of what’s included relatively reasonable. Perfect skin isn’t cheap, but it’s much cheaper than plastic surgery, which, I might add, is a no-no in French beauty. Take care of your body instead, starting with this artistically designed calendar.
This advent calendar was thoughtfully designed in collaboration with French designer Erwan Bouroullec. Known for his minimalist and functional design philosophy, Bouroullec’s work reflects a deep fascination with nature’s intricate systems and the simplicity that yields significant impact. His work has been showcased at the Centre Pompidou, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and other notable galleries.
“I am fascinated by nature, by the way it builds itself step by step, season after season,” Bouroullec told the brand. “Typology is minimalist, with very few ingredients that interact with our bodies in a highly effective way. That’s what I tried to represent: minimal elements creating significant impact, with the logic of life in motion, in action, yet always in harmony.”
Each layer of the calendar mirrors nature’s complex yet harmonious structures. Leave it to the French to create an advent calendar resembling a work of art you can wear. So, say “Bonjour” to your new French skincare. Trust me, it’s worth the hype.
