Two straphangers allegedly slugged an on-duty cop in the head on a Bronx subway car Saturday night in a brazen attack partially caught on camera.

Suspects Marquise Webb and Brian Innocent, both 24, were arrested for the alleged beating of the NYPD lieutenant that began after officers ordered the pair to get off a subway car at the 238th Street station in the Bronx after 9 p.m., police and law enforcement sources said.

Footage obtained by The Post shows the two men punch the uniformed officer in the face and body multiple times in the corner of the subway car as the lieutenant attempts to fend off both attackers.

Two men were arrested for allegedly assaulting a NYPD officer on a Bronx subway on November 11, 2023.
Marquise Webb (pictured) and Brian Innocent were arrested for the assault.

Two other men stand on the subway car as the assault unfolds, the video shows.

Additional footage shows the suspects running off as police, including the battered lieutenant, pursue them with what appeared to be their tasers drawn.

Cops were initially called to the scene at Kingsbridge to respond to reports of a fight between two groups involving a knife at the 1 train station, authorities said. One of the groups exited by the time police arrived.

The pair attacked the officer after he ordered them to get off a subway car at the 238th Street station.
The lieutenant was punched multiple times in the face and body by the two men.

The NYPD officer was left with cuts and bruising to his eye, police said. He was taken to St. Barnabas in stable condition.

Webb and Innocent fled onto the train tracks before they were later captured by authorities, police said.

A knife, box cutter and straight razor were all recovered by police following the arrests, according to cops.

The officer was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Webb, of Yonkers, and Innocent, of New Rochelle, were each charged with assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, the NYPD said.
