Former President Donald Trump again declined to guarantee that he would accept the results of the Nov. 5 election in a Wisconsin interview, saying he would only do so if everything was on the up-and-up.

“If everything’s honest, I’ll gladly accept the results. I don’t change on that,” Trump told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ahead of a Wednesday rally in suburban Waukesha. “If it’s not, you have to fight for the right of the country.”

The 45th president also claimed — as he does frequently — that he won Wisconsin four years ago, despite no evidence that is the case.

“If you go back and look at all of the things that had been found out, it showed that I won the election in Wisconsin,” the 77-year-old told the outlet. “It also showed I won the election in other locations.”

Official results show President Biden, 81, defeated Trump by just over 20,000 votes in the Badger State.

Trump’s remarks to the Journal Sentinel echo comments he made during a CNN town hall in May 2023.

“If I think it’s an honest election, absolutely,” he said at the time of the possibility of abiding by the results.

On Tuesday, TIME magazine published a series of interviews with Trump in which he suggested that the chance of post-election violence “depends” on the outcome.

“I think we’re going to win. And if we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election,” Trump said.

“I don’t believe they’ll be able to do the things that they did the last time. I don’t think they’ll be able to get away with it. And if that’s the case, we’re gonna win in record-setting fashion.”

Trump’s plans to prevent suspense on Election Day include urging voters to turn out in record numbers to make his support “too big to rig.”

The Trump team has also been working with the Republican National Committee to launch a campaign to discourage voter fraud, saying they are planning to send out 10,000 attorneys and volunteers to battleground states.

The RNC has filed election-related lawsuits in states across the country since Trump became the presumptive GOP nominee in March.

“This is something that’s very important to President Trump,” RNC spokesperson Danielle Alvarez told The Post. “He has said that this is something the RNC should do year-round.”
