RACINE, Wis. — Former President Donald Trump heaped praise on ex-presidential rival Vivek Ramaswamy at his Tuesday afternoon rally in Wisconsin — pleasing supporters who want the fiery entrepreneur on the 2024 ticket.

“If I gave it to Vivek to do, he’d pull it off,” declared the presumptive Republican nominee, referring to his administration’s tariff negotiations with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“He’s gonna be with us in some form,” said Trump of Ramaswamy as he repeatedly referenced and spoke to the former presidential candidate during his speech.

He’s a “smart guy.”

Ramaswamy was an opener for the rally, where he was introduced as “The Fake Vivek” — a reference to the Trump-style insult a leaked memo instructed then-presidential candidate Ron DeSantis to call him.

Ramaswamy talked to rally-goers about the history of the Declaration of Independence signers and said, “Donald Trump is the George Washington of our day.”

Trump plans to announce his running mate at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee next month.

Trump’s positive attitude toward the younger man during the Racine rally is in stark contrast to earlier this year — but even then he was considering Vivek for a cabinet position.
