His milkshake brings all the votes to the yard.
Former President Donald Trump received a warm welcome Wednesday when he stopped by an Atlanta Chick-fil-A and ordered “30 milkshakes” for customers inside the restaurant.
“What good looking people! Wow,” the presumptive Republican nominee for president told the beaming restaurant employees when he made his entrance at the popular fast food joint in the Vine City area of Atlanta.
Trump, 77, specifically complimented one female employees’ nose piercings before placing his order.
“I love those – what you have there … That’s art,” the former president told her, gesturing at his nose.
“Can I have 30 milkshakes and also some chicken? We’re going to take care of the customers,” Trump asked the counter attendants.
“Is business good? Making a lot of money? Getting rich, right?” he asked the giggling employees.
“That’s the Lord’s chicken. It’s good chicken, too,” Trump told a reporter, before telling diners, “Get ready for a milkshake. We’ve got plenty of them.”
Trump made the Chick-fil-A pitstop on his way to a campaign fundraiser in Buckhead, Ga., hosted by Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus and former Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and her husband, New York Stock Exchange Chairman Jeffrey Sprecher, according to Bloomberg.
Tickets to the event were reportedly set at between $6,600 to $250,000 per couple, according to the outlet.
Trump is facing 10 felony charges in Georgia over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in the Peach State.
The former president told reporters upon his arrival in Atlanta that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ case “has been totally discredited” amid revelations that she had a romantic relationship with former special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
“I think that case has been totally discredited,” Trump said.
“It’s on behalf of her and her lover, Wade. Mr. and Mrs. Wade. And I think the case has been totally discredited. I would hope, it seems to be. And we’ll see how that ends.”
A Wall Street Journal poll released earlier this month showed Trump leading President Biden in Georgia by 1 percentage point in a head-to-head matchup. With third-party candidates included, Trump’s edge over the 81-year-old incumbent grew to 3 percentage points.
